New Year's Ballin

New Year's Ballin

Maybe if you’re a part of the 1% you can enjoy some extravagant New Year’s Eve getaways like these listed CNN’s travel site.

Hawaii:

You won’t be the only person escaping to Hawaii for a New Year’s getaway, however if you decide to leave Maui and take its ferry to the nearby small island of Lana’i you might find yourself fairly secluded. Rooms at the Four Seasons Lana’i at Manele Bay start around $775 a night, a special New Year’s Eve dinner will be offered to guests for $125 per person and afterwards you can enjoy the fireworks show over the bay, free of charge...I think.

Santa Fe:

New Mexico might not be your first choice for a winter getaway but you might want to reconsider after all, there are plenty of activities to keep you and your spouse busy, fine dinning, great shopping, and of course excellent ski resorts nearby. The city is also very attractive during this season because of the hanging lanterns set up around Santa Fe Plaza. If you’re looking for expensive digs try the Encantado which sits directly outside of town or the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi near the plaza. Both have rooms starting at several hundred a night.

St. Barts:

Want to spend New Year’s like a celebrity? Or maybe you just want the chance to drink champaign on a yacht while singing “I’m on a boat”? If so then sign up with SeaDream. They offer Caribbean cruises on mega yachts and they’ll make sure to stop into Gustavia Harbor where you and the other 110 passengers can ring in the New Year with celebrities. Voyages start around $5,000 per person
